We are looking for five officers to join our busy Environmental Services team.
Senior Environmental Health Officers (3 posts)
You will lead a team of three professional staff carrying out the full range of Occupational Health and Safety regulatory and advisory work with the emphasis on high-risk premises.
Post 3: Environmental Protection (Proactive) Ref: J6777
You will take a lead in providing legal and technical support and assist in the management and development of either our reactive service (comprising nuisance investigation, pest control and dog warden services) or our proactive service (air quality, LAPPC and contaminated land services).
For all 3 posts you will have degree level qualifications, EHRB Registration, Voting membership of the CIEH and proven relevant experience.
Environmental Health Officer/Senior Environmental Health Assistant
Post 2: Environmental Protection (temporary until December 2009) J7655
You will be required to provide legal and technical advice and undertake work relating to air quality, contaminated land and LAPPC issues, occasionally assisting our reactive service in dealing with nuisance complaints.
For both posts you will be an Environmental Health Officer, or an individual qualified to degree or equivalent level in a science based subject with proven experience in Environmental Protection.
